Technical Advantages
1 Applications
GDS8300 is an industrial-grade online total sulfur analyzer that uses the ultraviolet fluorescence method to detect ultra-low sulfur content in diesel and gasoline. It is particularly suitable for applications such as gasoline blending, diesel blending, gasoline hydrogenation, diesel hydrogenation, and gasoline adsorption desulfurization units.
★Ultraviolet Fluorescence Method: ASTM standard method, national standard arbitration method for light oils (ASTM 5453, SH/T 0689, GB/T 34100)
★Single-channel / Up to six-channel fast switching (optional): Rapidly measures sulfur content in liquid or gas samples.
★Excellent accuracy and analytical precision: Provides reliable data support for process adjustment.
★Extremely low site installation and operating requirements: Ensures the longest possible online runtime for process optimization.
2 Standards Compliance

3 Principle
GDS8300 online sulfur analyzer employs high-temperature combustion and ultraviolet fluorescence method to detect sulfur content in liquid or gaseous hydrocarbons.

After the hydrocarbon sample is combusted at high temperature, various sulfur-containing compounds in the sample (such as H₂S, COS, methyl mercaptan, benzothiophene, dibenzothiophene, sulfides, disulfides, and mercaptans) are converted into sulfur dioxide (SO₂) gas. The SO₂ gas is carried by the carrier gas through a high-efficiency membrane dryer, and the dried SO₂ gas mixture then enters the ultraviolet fluorescence detector for measurement.

Typically, hydrocarbon samples such as diesel, gasoline, or other common petroleum fractions (e.g., naphtha) are in liquid form. The sampling system accurately meters the sample to be analyzed and injects it into the combustion tube (maintained at 1000°C). The sample is vaporized in the combustion tube packed with catalyst and fully combusted in an oxygen-rich atmosphere, generating a mixed gas of carbon dioxide, water vapor, and sulfur dioxide. The total amount of sulfur dioxide produced during combustion is proportional to the total sulfur content in the sample.

5 Comprehensive pretreatment system
The condition of the sample prior to entering the analyzer is critical for accurate sulfur determination. The sample pretreatment system efficiently removes particulates that may affect measurement results, adjusts the sample pressure before it enters the analyzer, and controls the sample flow rate, ensuring that the sample enters the analyzer under consistent conditions.

The sample pretreatment system consists of a sample pretreatment module and a calibration standard module. The sample pretreatment module includes a flow path selection system (valve island), filters, pressure gauges, shut-off valves, flow meters, and a two-stage fast loop, among other components.
