Product Introduction

The GAS Module is an expansion accessory for the TSN6000 series sulfur‑nitrogen analyzers, developed by Nordtech as a dedicated sampler for gas and LPG sample analysis. An integrated flash vaporizer vaporizes liquefied petroleum gas for accurate quantitative injection. Equipped with three sample inlets, it supports gas bag, cylinder, and LPG analysis. When paired with a multi‑stream gas sampling unit, it enables automated analysis of multiple samples.


Gas/LPG 2‑in‑1 Fully Automatic Sampler

Unlike conventional six‑port valve samplers, the GAS Module employs a stepper motor‑driven gas‑tight syringe for precise injection, with continuously adjustable injection volume and no manual switching required. The built‑in flash vaporizer vaporizes LPG for accurate quantification.

With three integrated inlets covering gas bags, cylinders, and LPG, plus compatibility with a multi‑stream gas sampling system, the GAS Module automates analysis across multiple samples.


Continuously Adjustable Injection Volume

The stepper motor‑controlled gas‑tight syringe ensures precise injection with a continuously adjustable volume range of 0–100 mL — no manual switching needed.

Conventional six‑port valve sampling with a fixed‑volume loop introduces the sample into the oxygen stream upon switching, which may result in incomplete reaction. In contrast, the gas‑tight syringe approach allows software‑controlled injection speed, ensuring the sample gas exiting the syringe is thoroughly mixed with oxygen for complete combustion, thereby eliminating interference

1 Sample volume adjustable from 0 to 100 mL
Most conventional UV fluorescence sulfur analyzers employ a six-port valve with a fixed sample loop for gas sample introduction. The loop volume is typically fixed at approximately 20 mL and is difficult to change. The GasModule, however, utilizes a high-capacity gas sampling system driven by a precision stepper motor, allowing the injection volume to be continuously adjusted within a range of 0–100 mL. This design provides significantly improved accuracy for the analysis of samples with low sulfur content.

2 Both gas calibration standards and liquid calibration standards are available
Calibration with standard samples is often cumbersome in practice. As a result, conventional sulfur analyzers typically rely on liquid standards for gas sample calibration. However, because the physical and chemical properties of gases and liquids are not identical, this method may lead to measurement deviations. In comparison, calibration using gas standards yields more accurate results.

With its integrated automatic gas injection system, the GasModule employs gas standards for calibration, ensuring superior data accuracy.
